My daughter Autumn has always been a miracle in my life. First when she was born and again this past Spring when she experienced a radical healing.

When she was graced into my life, I was in a dark place but she was my sunshine. A little tow head with white-blonde hair and blue eyes punctuated by yellow sunbursts around the pupils. She carried me through and when my husband came into our lives, we became a family.
She is our origin story and often reminds us as we have added children, changed and grown, “I started this family!” It’s true, and we just wouldn’t be the same without her.
A Sensitive Topic-
If you followed me already, you may have caught wind of our situation while we lived it. When things were the most uncertain, I begged for prayers on my Instagram and personal page. We believe in the power of Jesus to heal and asked that anyone who saw would storm Heaven with prayers. If you prayed for us, know, you will be in mine for the rest of my life.
While I want to tell our family’s story, to glorify the Lord, I also want to give my daughter the privacy she requests and deserves around such a personal topic. Her consent and blessing to share is paramount to me so please understand that some details may be vague or left out altogether.
I’m going to summarize here but look forward to telling you more of the little miracles that occurred throughout the overarching miracle of God sparing her life in the future.
What Happened-
For the brevity of blogging and the simplification of an extremely complicated situation, our daughter suffered a severe double pneumonia which developed into ARDS (Adult Respiratory Distress Syndrome). When we got to the hospital, it was clear she was not well. We were worried when she was admitted, but figured she would be observed, maybe medicated with antibiotics and sent home the next day. What we never expected was a decline that went so far, so fast.
Instead of being discharged the morning of that second day, she was put on life support. She was on the full power of a ventilator but still experiencing low oxygen saturation, arrhythmias and other distressing vitals. We were terrified as we realized that no one was making any promises to us about bringing our baby home.
